Earlier this week, Austin sent multi-instrumentalist and musical shaman Devin James Fry off into the woolly wastes of America with a grand party at Cheer Up Charlie’s. Monk Parker, Ruby Fray and mysterious “we’re too cool to stick to the pattern of band names that could also be jazz musicians and/or hobos” ensemble Marijuana Sweet Tooth were on hand to usher off Devin, with Ovrld veteran Ashley Bradley in tow to document the evening. Being the true Austinite that she is, Ashley was fashionably late and so unfortunately missed Monk Parker’s set, but as the rest of these photos will attest, it looks like this was a memorable, intimate evening that will certainly serve as ample incentive for Devin to return home before long.
