Photo Review: Carl Sagan’s Skate Shoes, Sleeping Bag and More at Beerland

Last Friday night, I went out to Beerland to catch the great line-up they put together. I really need to wise-up and get myself some fancy ear plugs, because this show was fucking loud. The stage was graced by outta-towners Sleeping Bag from Bloomington, Love Moon from Oakland, locals The Zoltars and one of my favorite bands in town Carl Sagan’s Skate Shoes. Each band had a really great set, bringing audience members drooling to the front — but it was CSSS that actually magnetized one guy to throw dollar bills (even a $5) on stage in a, “shut up and take my money” fashion. Except, he didn’t want them to shut up. They could have played all night, and we all woulda been real god damn happy.
