Photo Review: The Coathangers, Nobunny and OBN IIIs at Sidewinder

It’s pretty early yet but it looks like Sidewinder is already on the right track to being an exciting addition to Red River (or is it a readdition?). First let’s take a moment to gaze in awe at the fantastic, comix-influenced poster Buck did for this Coathangers, Nobunny and OBN IIIs show. It’s like Brandon Graham and R. Crumb became conjoined twins and dove into that gig poster life.

That poster perfectly set the scene for perhaps the most rambunctious bill Ashley Bradley has documented yet at Sidewinder, as the headliners occupied the main stage and gave way to a late night set with local troublemakers Sailor Poon and Pleasure Venom. The Poon came dressed as Nobunny with some Plasmatics-like use of electrical tape, so if you’re the type of person who can’t stand the sight of breasts, maybe leave this article and also probably our site and never come back.
