Exclusive Track Premiere: Otis the Destroyer “Hand Me Nothing”

Is any band in Austin as committed to unapologetically catchy rock as Otis the Destroyer? The group regularly packs more riffs into their songs than entire scenes in other cities churn out in a year and their upcoming, aptly titled album Keep Bashing is looking to raise that riffage ratio even higher. If you don’t believe us, check out “Hand Me Nothing,” which we’re premiering today. The verses pit rumbling low end up against glassy lead lines and frills, with Taylor Wilkins’ gruff, distorted vocal breaking through the fray to command your attention right in time for the song’s fist pumping chorus. Sometimes you just want a song you can scream along to as you drive through the hot Texas night and “Hand Me Nothing” is here for that. Check it out, then catch Otis the Destroyer at Stubb’s this Friday, August 25th, and frontman Taylor Wilkins’ side project Otis Wilkins tomorrow, August 24th on our show at Mohawk with The Stacks.
