We’ve been a fan of Daisy O’Connor’s approach to folk for years but we’ve been especially impressed with her output over the past couple years, as she has expanded her sound to encompass more pop and rock influences. Daisy’s new single “Wild” is a perfect example of this, with Jon Brion-esque electric piano touches and soaring indie rock guitar backing up Daisy’s heartfelt and intimate vocal. That wide open, cinematic sound comes in part from the assistance of Gregory White (Ali Holder, My Golden Calf) and Joshua Halpern (Marmalakes, Shearwater) who helped Daisy put together “Wild” after being impressed with her 2018 releases Analog Sessions and Mixtape.
