Chill Russell are back with a fleet footed one two punch of a single that we know we’re never going to get out of our heads. “Know What I Need” might be landing in October but it’s got all the markings of a beach party hit, with a ramshackle rhythm and bouncy guitar riffs backing up some spurned romantic vocals. All it takes is one listen and you’ll be having your own little beach party bingo session in your apartment, fall weather be damned.
Over on the B-side, the band provides “Answers,” a strutting number with Cars-esque synth and moody, reverb soaked vocals. It’s an excellent contrast to the bouncy fun of the A-side, showing off the band’s wide ranging sound.
