We’ve got an especially interesting video premiere for you today, courtesy of El Campo. The clip is directed by Lawrence Mercado, who told us the concept of a wandering, weird alien seemingly looking for help came to him after listening to the track five times in a row. Of course, as is usually the case with extraterrestrial travelers, his motives are perhaps more sinister than you might think. That makes for an interesting pairing with the alt-country sound of El Campo, which recalls Joe Ely and The Old 97’s in equal measure. The video was also amazingly shot and edited all over the course of a single day, but we think you’ll agree it is an especially cinematic and visceral short. You’ll be able to catch the band in Austin on April 1st at Lamberts, but until then enjoy the track!
