Art pop artist Vonne splits her time between Austin and Houston, and her sound reflects that dichotomy, combining Austin electronic abstraction with Houston low key vibes. Vonne’s new single “Doctor (B-Side)” is especially reflective of that, what with the juxtaposition of Fabio Enzo’s ’90s R&B referencing cover art and the far more somber, icy product that’s inside. That Vonne is able to balance all that duality so well is a sign that she’s going places, and we’re eager to so see larger audiences catch on to her.
