Exclusive Video Premiere: Thanks Light “Circling Snails in Salt”

Thanks Light have been impressing us since they first emerged with their ever shifting style. Equally at home making boozy weirdo rock as they are making reflective, gentle ballads, Thanks Light operate like Moon and Antarctica-era Modest Mouse. But even with that in mind, the band’s new track “Circling Snails in Salt” is unexpected and surprising, an ominous yet beautiful mini-epic that hints at influences as diverse as the Knife and Godspeed! You Black Emperor. The video for the track is suitably mesmerizing, combining microscope slides that border on the psychedelic with more macro nature footage of a coral reef. Check out the video below then pick up the album Hallelujah, Amen at Thanks Light’s Bandcamp.
