You might have heard that we started our own internet radio station on Mixcloud, bringing a regular rotation of programs devoted to all the different facets of Austin music as well as special curated playlists from Austin music folk. On the latter front, we’re thrilled to bring you a brand new mix from local producer FaxD, featuring a slew of future pop sounds and some exclusive premieres of his own material. Yo! This is FAXD (pronounced – “Faxed”). This is my first official mix of 2020. I wanted to give Ovrld listeners and FAXD fans alike something special. So, I pulled out all the gems and made this fire mix.
I wanted to create a warm dark vibe. I tried to stay within the “future sound” electronic vibe with some Rap / RnB influence. And of course, I added some of my own productions. “On the Block” is off my first EP which is out now called Dynasty of One. “haunted” is one of the unreleased demos I added to the mix, which will be released digitally 10/31/2020 available for streaming/download on most platforms. I also did a quick flip/edit of Trippie Redd’s “Super Sayin 14” song, exclusive for this mix, no release for this.
